Interview Practice & Gaze Analysis

Practice interviews with feedback on delivery, not just content.

Student Learning

The problem

Students rehearse interview answers in their head and get feedback on their answers only. Nobody tells them what their delivery communicates.

The idea

Record practice sessions and return structured, private feedback on content and delivery signals.

What it does

  • Runs timed practice questions.
  • Returns feedback on pacing, structure, and gaze/attention signals.
  • Keeps everything private to the student.

How it works

  1. 1

    Practice

    Answer a question on camera.

  2. 2

    Analyze

Signals are extracted from the recording.

  3. 3

    Iterate

The student re-runs the same question.

Research connection

Student Learning — deliberate practice with feedback in a professional skill.

See the research pillars

Design decisions

  • Private by default.
  • Feedback is descriptive rather than scored.

Behavioral design

Feedback loops plus low-stakes repetition; the ability to retry immediately is what changes behavior.

Classroom use

Prototype used with students preparing for internship and full-time interviews.

What I learned

  • Delivery feedback is uncomfortable and unusually effective.
  • Anything that feels like scoring a personality kills adoption instantly.
